PRINCIPAL TECHNICAL PRODUCT MANAGER
As a Principal Technical Product Manager at ClearCompany, you will be at the helm of advancing our platform’s Shared Services by driving the development and execution of critical components, such as a notification platform (e.g., Knock or Courier), permissioning frameworks (RBAC/ABAC), audit logging, user impersonation and more. This is a strategic role that requires strong technical acumen, a deep understanding of SaaS platform architecture, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams through complex technical challenges.
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH:
- As a member of the Product Management team, you will be partnered with a talented Engineering and Design team - all passionate about creating and bringing to market the most innovative, beautiful, and usable products possible.
- You will work in a highly visible and collaborative environment across our Client Support, Engineering, User Experience, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for core platform services, focusing on notification, permissioning, logging, and impersonation functionalities.
- Define and maintain a comprehensive roadmap that aligns with business objectives and optimizes user experience, security, and compliance.
- Partner with engineering, design, and other stakeholders to scope, prioritize, and launch high-impact features, ensuring alignment with product vision and technical requirements.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to uncover trends and position ClearCompany as a leader in HR platform technology.
- Implement key metrics to measure the impact and success of product initiatives, using data-driven insights to continuously refine product strategy.
- Serve as the product champion, communicating updates and milestones effectively to stakeholders and executive leadership to maintain transparency and buy-in.
- Mentor junior product team members, sharing best practices and fostering a growth-oriented, collaborative culture.
WHAT WE’D LIKE YOU TO HAVE
- Has earned a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; OR in lieu of formal training, has 5+ years of experience in technical product management, with a strong focus on back-end services.
- Proficient in API development, microservices architecture, cloud infrastructure, and familiarity with notification, RBAC/ABAC frameworks, and logging technologies.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex projects, from ideation through successful launch.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of using data to guide decision-making.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of distilling complex technical information for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a knack for influencing and guiding cross-functional teams.
The base compensation for this position is $170,000 to $190,000 annualized depending on experience and qualifications.
