SOFTWARE ENGINEERING MANAGER

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, as a Software Engineering Manager at ClearCompany, you will join our talented, collaborative, and inclusive engineering team to help grow our team’s capabilities to expand our best-in-class HR platform. In this role, you will:

  • Lead the engineering team responsible for our flagship Talent Acquisition products that span functions supporting recruiting, CRM, applications, career sites, interviews, offer letters, and more.
  • Own and drive the engineering roadmap for Talent Acquisition as we modernize our architecture from monolithic to services-oriented to support rapid growth.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide performance feedback to direct reports to help them further develop their skills and guide them on their career paths.
  • Collaborate with senior management to establish team policies, develop resource plans, and evaluate individual performance.
  • Partner with Product Management, UX, and Tech Leads to drive product innovation and technical excellence
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture that emphasizes continuous learning and growth

WHAT WE'D LIKE YOU TO HAVE

  • 10+ years’ of experience involved in building and supporting SaaS products.
  • 5+ years’ experience as manager for a team of engineers, helping coordinating and executing on product development plans, evaluating performance, and fostering an environment of trust and accountability.
  • Possesses a track record of delivering complex projects on schedule while maintaining code quality and team well-being.
  • Fosters a collaborative engineering culture that values continuous learning, mentorship, and innovation.
  • Appreciates what a good coach and mentor means to the growth of an individual and enthusiastically embraces opportunities to support each other.
  • Enjoys partnering with Product Management and UX teams to drive technical and business decisions.
  • Embraces AI and its potential to transform how we deliver high-quality products to our clients.

OUR TECHNOLOGY STACK

  • Back-end: C#/.NET Core, MySQL/Entity Framework, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, Redis
  • Front-end: React, TypeScript, WebSockets, Sass
  • Infrastructure: AWS using EC2, S3, Aurora...and the list goes on and on

The base compensation for this position is $165,000 to $185,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
