VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES

Listed in the Inc. 5000 for multiple consecutive years as the fastest-growing Talent Management platform in America, we are seeking a dynamic sales leader with a mission to evolve all New Business Sales activity to increase our win rate, drive bookings, and accelerate revenue growth. The successful candidate will navigate tactfully through strategy development and day to day execution while achieving a delicate balance of customer acquisition and business acumen.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Vice President of Sales reports to the Chief Revenue Officer and interacts with leadership and staff in every part of our business including Revenue Operations, Finance, Demand Generation, Channel Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Research & Development, Implementation, Customer Success, and Customer Support. You will oversee a team of New Business Sales Managers and Sales Executives operating as consultative, subject matter experts in the SaaS HCM marketplace responsible for cultivating and closing deals with companies across Emerging, SMB, and Enterprise market segments.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Achieve company targets through New Business Bookings across all segments of the Sales team: Emerging, SMB and Enterprise
  • Manage Sales Management in each segment
  • Identify common sales roadblocks, objections and failure points and build strategies to overcome them
  • Standardize playbooks and lead the teams to execute them
  • Own key metrics including: Win Rate, Average Deal Size, Days to Close, and Growth Rate
  • As part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) - partner with leaders in the company including Product, Engineering, Channel, Account Management, Marketing and Customer Success to drive company performance
  • Recruit and retain top Sales and Sales Management talent
  • Manage and resolve discount requests, objections, and reasonable contract escalations
  • Lead, motivate, energize and continuously improve on a daily basis
  • Strategize, implement, and deliver exceptionally on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

WHAT WE’D LIKE YOU TO HAVE

  • 10-20 years in a sales management role
  • B2B SaaS experience and an understanding of SaaS business metrics
  • Experience managing multiple go to market sales strategies simultaneously, including Enterprise sales
  • Experience driving new logo acquisition and hitting significant new business targets
  • Experience with HR Tech is a plus
  • Management experience and organizational design in a sales organization
  • Ability to manage influence through negotiation, persuasion and consensus-building
  • Experience working closely with or inside of a demand-generation organization
  • Analytical mindset with proven success in improving Sales and SaaS metrics
  • Superior communication abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree

The base compensation for this position is $175,000 to $225,000 annualized depending on experience and qualifications. This role is eligible for an additional compensation incentive in the form of performance-based commissions/bonuses paid out quarterly. The commission/bonus payout is between $175,000 and $225,000 annually when performing within the target range. A detailed commission plan will be provided in writing at the time of offer.
